Tales of Spirit
November 12th, 2007Tales of Spirit
There was a legend of a little boy who finds the bird with the beautiful song in the forest and brings it home. He ask his father to bring food for the bird, but the father doesn’t want to feed
a mere bird, so he kills it and the legend says the man kills the bird and with the bird he kills the song, and with the song, himself. He dropped dead, completely dead, and was dead forever.
That is what happens when human beings destroy their environment, destroy nature and her revelations. You destroy your own nature, too. You kill the song, the song of imagination.
The key is what state of consciousness do you associate, where is your field of Life, the powers of your own Body and Nature.
Do you live your moments? Do you Dance? Do you live your Bliss? Nature is the Teacher. Learn where your center is and put yourself in accord with Nature.” These are words from the teachings of Joseph Campbell, the worlds foremost authority on mythology, whose work has had a profound influence on millions. Campbell says, “People say that what we’re all seeking is a meaning of life. I don’t think that’s what we’re really seeking, I think that what we’re seeking is an experience of being alive, so that our life experiences on the purely physical plane will have resonances with our own inner-most being and reality, so that we actually feel - the rapture of being alive.”
Nature teaches us to transform our consciousness to a higher consciousness, compassion for all living beings. We do this with our meditations, all life is a meditation, end of one time and the beginning of a new time. Our consciousness filled with love, valuing self and all life will result in all-sufficiency. All is energy and vibrations within the living force field called you. Nature will do the teaching, and when Mother Nature teaches, everyone listens.

Late last night I was sitting at my computer wondering which tale of spirit would I write. Like most of you I have had some interesting moments with Spirit.
My own experiences through the study of Nature Spirits, show that the elemental beings actually exist and there is an intelligence in earth.
From time to time I will write about my experience with these beings and energies. Maybe we can encourage them to share their wisdom and understandings with us, the human species. I believe we have developed our consciousness to such an extent that we are now capable of approaching the elemental world on a new level. There will be more to come on the Nature Spirits and Elemental Beings in some of the future Tales of Spirit.
While I was sitting at my computer pondering my Tale of Spirit article, I heard a very clear knock, knock. I looked around and my little white dog, Powder (named for the movie “Powder”) who barks if a flea hops across the yard was fast asleep. Coyote, my big male outside guardian dog happened to be snoozing in the sun room. Now I know I heard a knock sound so I got up and creeped down my hall to peek at the front door. I turned on the porch light and all was quiet outside.
I walked into the kitchen to have a look and noticed I had left on a red hot burner on the stove top. Wow! I never forget to turn off my stove top, not that I can remember. I probably would not have gone back into my kitchen before retiring for bed last night if it was not for the knocking sounds. Both of my dogs were fast asleep but I heard that knocking just as clear as day. Do you think it was Spirit? ” Hey, you have some unattended hot stuff going on in the kitchen!”
I believe my Spirit Guardians are always with me. I believe my world is always a safe and peaceful world. I think it has to do with what we choose to believe and what level of our consciousness we are able to use as a viewpoint, to the unseen and unmapped domains. The “Otherworlds” places and things that are “betwixed and between”, best described as neither this or that leading through reverie. The “Otherworlds” is here on Earth at the present moment, the happy people, the nature spirits and elementals; and the world of the divine. They lend their protective characteristic and powers to individuals in time of need and testing. When we open ourselves to the mysteries of life we have greater opportunity for fulfillment, prosperity and joy within our individual life expressions - a new Wholeness “within” ourselves.
